The name Quix is a registered trademark. The Macintosh Quickdraw to X converter has been renamed from QuiX to MaX. We will not use the name QuiX anymore for products in the telecommunications domain.

CIO: JVTOS - Joint Viewing and Teleoperation

RACE Project R2060 - CIO The RACE R2060 project called CIO aims at the Coordination, Implementation and Operation of multimedia services.

One of the main objectives of CIO is the specification and the implementation of advanced multimedia teleservices such as a multimedia-mail service and a joint-viewing and teleopration service. This is done on various multivendor end systems (Sun Microsystems, Apple Macintosh, IBM PC, Silicon Graphics) and in an internetwork environment on top of different network technologies (Ethernet, ATM, FDDI). Our laboratory is mainly involved in the development of the joint viewing service and the implementation of the communication platform on the Apple Macintosh.
